For example, Top Line Creations or TLC is one such direct sales company that sells products either on websites or through scrapbooking home parties. It’s usually very easy to become an independent distributor of these products, and they offer many scrapbooking supplies and materials that you and your friends are sure to love.  On top of individual products they also have scrapbooking page kits that make scrapbooking easier for anyone, and they are always updating their products.  You and your friends are sure to love everything you might feature in a scrapbooking home show.

This way you may earn an income for years to come.

Ideas for Using Scrapbook Titles on Your Layouts

Adding wording and verbiage to your scrapbook pages is important and fun and a part of creating scrapbook albums. You might be adding additional paragraphs to your layout or using scrapbooking titles, and you may want to include the name of your photo’s subject or a date and location for some of your photographs.  Wording can really make your page come alive and can help you remember times and locations for vacation or other photos, and certainly the add some personalization as well – the name of the pet is often used on pages with their pictures, and baby pages usually have the child’s full name as well.  But there are some creative and fun ways you can use scrapbook titles to make them seem as actual elements on the page, not just an addition or afterthought.

For one, a great way to tie a scrapbook together is with scrapbook titles.  As an example, if you’re putting together a wedding scrapbook album you might want to use different short phrases or words that pertain to a wedding or to romance, and add these on the same spot on every page in the same font.Your scrapbook pages will have a cohesive look when you use scrapbook titles.  You can do this with a vacation scrapbook, graduation album, or with just about any album you create.

Try using scrapbook titles as borders for your photos or borders for your mementos.  For example, you can use the phrase “puppy love” for a photo of your dog but put “puppy” above it and “love” below it so that it looks like a frame. This will anchor the photo and helps to draw the eye toward it too. Some scrapbookers use 3 small photographs all taken from the same angle, but one right after the other on their layouts; using scrapbook titles can help tie these photos together. You can use 3 simple words and put one under each page in order to give them a nice flow.

Paying attention to the font and type styles that you use for your scrapbook titles is important as well.  Smaller sizes may mean simpler fonts so that you can read the words; save the fancy scrollwork for the larger lettering!  Or mix them up – one word fancy, the next plain, the next fancy, and so on.  This will give some personality to your scrapbooking page layouts and really help the wording stand out as well.

Ideas for a Graduation Scrapbook or Photo Book

Graduation makes a great theme for scrapbooking. When to start planning your scrapbook is up to you; it could start a month or even years before the graduation. Recording the school memories as a long-term project would make the most comprehensive book. You might involve your child in the creation of this book, or just make it your own special project. Your scrapbook could be created as a traditional scrapbook or you could make a digital scrapbook.

Your child will love looking back on all these memories. Recording the trials and tribulations, as well as the special moments along the way will help make this a treasured memory book.

Scrapbook paper companies have lots of themed papers, including graduation themes. Use clip art or other pictures by printing them for use as embellishments. It’s essential that you use the best, archival safe or photo safe glue or adhesives to prevent damage to your scrapbook’s contents.

The most personal things you can add make the album more interesting such as: iinformation about your child’s participation in clubs and hobbies or news articles about your child – and even a personal note about something you remember about them. Copies of achievement certificates and report cards are useful items to add. Personal notes or photos from friends and teachers make nice additions. Also, any personally written notes about your dreams and wishes for them are nice to include. Scanning items such as these would be ideal if you plan to make a digital scrapbook.

Graduation scrapbook organization ideas: Make separate pages for each year of school with the school photos and the year as a title on the page. Prom or other school dance mementos. Other elements to use could include graduation-themed stickers. Dedicate a page for each year, such as: freshman, sophomore, junior and senior. Die cuts can be used to add interest to your pages. Die cuts are shapes and pictures made of paper or chipboard that can be glued into a scrapbook. These can be bought at art, craft and scrapbook supply stores.)

Save pages for photos of all the graduation events, parties and the ceremony. Keep room in the scrapbook for any invitations to the graduation ceremony or announcements about the event. Under the photos, add captions or other descriptions and notes.

Pick out a nice binder or scrapbook album to keep the graduation scrapbook pages in. Report cards, awards, school photos and/or certificates will need to fit in your album; be sure to buy one big enough.

After graduation, when the diploma arrives, you might include a copy of it in the album. It’s worth remembering, so plan your graduation album and keep it up-to-date. A graduation memory book with all the personal items, photos and notes wil make a gift that is treasured. These are the memories of your child’s most important years you’ll want to remember and share.
