It can be so easy to underestimate the uses of a scrapbooking table, but research has indicated that having a comfortable working space helps keep your brain in focus and also helps with your motivation and inspiration. A scrapbooking table is not just any ordinary table that you can overlook, but a comfort zone that acts like a time capsule while you work on your scrapbooking chores and themes.

The Benefits of a Scrapbooking Table

The noted benefits of a scrapbooking table are namely the privacy and stability. Privacy in terms of a scrapbooking table means that you are in your own world working on your own private thoughts. It is a protection bubble brought about by the mere action of looking at your pictures.

This also means that in a sense you can close the door on the outside world and concentrate as much and as little as you wish. In terms of stability, a scrapbooking table provides you with a physical place to make your memories practical (i.e. the actual scrapbook). Here you will have all the supplies and tools you will need on your scrapbooking table. In essence, the scrapbooking table allows you the freedom to explore the past at your own pace while sparking up your imagination.

Should You Get a Scrapbooking Table?

The answer to this is most definitely yes. This is a great organization tool, and you cannot work on your scrapbooking without any sort of structure. You do not want to have your scrapbooking supplies lying all over the place as this will give you more reason not to complete any of your scrapbooking projects. A scrapbooking table is like your own personal office filled with intense, yet private, emotions, and it is unnecessary to go out and buy and expensive table.

You can use an already available table as your own personal scrapbooking table. You need to feel safe and comfortable in your scrapbooking zone and block out the constant pressures of the outside world. The best part of it all is that you do not need to even worry about the chaotic order on your scrapbooking table, because it is your space and you can use it the way you like.

To further enhance the uses of a scrapbooking table, you could make it as part of your home décor when you are working with furniture scrapbooking. This will go well with your home as the scrapbooking inspiration never seems to end. It is just an open door waiting to welcome anyone who wishes to enter.

It is so amazing to see just how far and wide the idea of scrapbooking actually extends. It seems that there are no limits to what can be showcased in your scrapbook and thus the appeal of furniture scrapbooking. What is easy to conclude is that scrapbooking is like a restoration of past relics, and given a little brush up, they can be used in a creative and refreshing way. Furniture scrapbooking is the most time consuming of most of the scrapbooking genres; however the rewards are great and you get to showcase your creativity around your home.

Make Furniture Scrapbooking a Décor Activity

Furniture scrapbooking is a way of giving your home a personal touch through the creative assembling of furniture. There is no limit as to what can be done, as you are the artist in furniture scrapbooking. There are many scrapbooking magazines that will provide you with the assistance that you require to get started with your furniture scrapbooking. In order to enhance your scrapbooking experience, you need to be well equipped with the right scrapbooking supplies. This will help curb any stress that you might experience due to lack of resources. And with scrapbooking, creativity is a must, as it will make you experience the full, heightened exhilaration of a job well done.

There is Also a Way With Furniture Scrapbooking

If you ever feel that you somehow lack the skills needed to create the right type of furniture scrapbook, then you can always go out and purchase the scrapbooked furniture. The only limit is your funds and imagination, and even these are not excuses to be relied on as they can vary depending on the amount of drive you have to create your scrapbook. Passion can sometimes help give your flight that extra boost it needs.

Furniture scrapbooking can also be a way to open the doors to more scrapbooking, and this means that you will be able to multi-scrapbook. However, you need an action plan as to how you intend to scrapbook your home! This means that with this type of scrapbooking you have to have an action plan. The most common place to start your furniture scrapbooking is in your kitchen, and for that you will need to know which kitchen furniture you intend to scrapbook before you start out scrapbooking. This way you will not get overwhelmed by the task of scrapbooking even before you begin.

Tonight I was doing my usual scrapbook surfing, basically playing “follow that link” when I stumbled on Crafty Storage. This site is focused on storage for craft materials. The majority of the posts I read were specifically about organizing scrapbooking supplies. In fact, I’m headed to Target tomorrow to pick up an awesome storage cart for storing my scrapbooking projects that I read about on this blog. The cart looks like a standard plastic cart with drawers, but each drawers pulls out as an individual storage case. How awesome is that? And, yes, the drawers/cases are over 12×12 size. I believe the cart will be low enough to slide under my scrapbooking desk as well.

If you’re looking for advice on organizing scrapbooking supplies and on craft storage, don’t miss this site, Crafty Storage.

<div style=align: "right">

I took on organizing my scrapbook workspace as a summer project. I had boxes and drawers full of scrapbooking supplies bought over the years. My photos were all neatly organized but not my supplies. As I looked over the boxes, I realized that there are several ways to organize scrapbooking materials.

The most common way to organize your scrapbooking supplies is by type. Put all your stickers in one box, and your ribbons in another, etc. You can further break this down by organizing the individual types. For example, you can sort paper by color or pattern. I like the Cropper Hopper Vertical Paper Holders for this. I really like that you can clearly see the sheets of paper. I have them sorted by color beginning with neutral colors, white, off white, gray, black, and then by the colors of the rainbow, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet. The last section is for patterned paper. These I have sorted by color unless the paper has a particular theme. For example, I have 2 hockey players in my family. I have a section just for hockey-themed paper. Christmas and Halloween are other popular themes for patterned paper.

You can also sort stickers and other embellishments by themes, such as, baby, wedding or Christmas. I like the idea of sorting by theme because that is really how I am scrapbooking. I reach for the supplies most likely to be used by that particular layout. Here is a list of possible themes to get you started organizing your embellishments:

Baby
Children
School Years
Wedding
Christmas
Halloween
Thanksgiving
Winter
Summer
Spring
Fall
Vacation or Places
Birthday
Boy
Girl

I also have the following sections for my embellishments:

Borders
Stars, Hearts and Circles
Titles
Quotes (that don’t fall into the themes above)
Frames or Mats

These are just a few ideas to get you started. I recommend Memory Makers book called How to Organize Your Scrapbook Workspace. I own the book and often refer back to it for ideas to stay organized.
