For example, you can have an entire scrapbook dedicated to a birthday, or you can have a scrapbook that is dedicated to a specific year. The difference between a scrapbook and a photo album is that the scrapbooker will actually set the photographs on a page that has been decorated with the theme or mood of the event. Typically, this is where you will see specific paper, cutouts, stickers, and other types of embellishment.

How to get started with scrapbooking?

The first thing that you need to do is to assemble all of your old pictures that you have just sitting around, and get those others developed that you have been waiting to do. Once you have all of your memories in front of you start sorting them out. Order the materials into dates, theme, color or whatever categories make the most sense to you. After this stage is complete, take a bit of time to decide which scrapbook you would like to start with. After all of that organization, you are really ready to get started. Get yourself a scrapbook, but take it one step at a time. Focus on the first page before moving onto the second. Allow yourself to have some fun, and to be creative.

Where to get scrapbooking materials?

There are a plethora of sources you can get scrapbooking materials from.  Craft stores are usually the first places people think of. When you drop in, you will find a large amount of stickers and odds and ends to have a look at. Additionally, there are many stores dedicated to selling scrapbook materials online.
