Scrapbooking Mother’s Day
It’s the day after Mother’s Day and you have pictures to scrapbook to remember Mom. Here are a few ideas for a new perspective on Mother’s Day pictures.
1. Devote a page to your mother. Sure you can just scrapbook your pictures of everyone sitting around the table eating Mother’s Day brunch, but a page devoted to just your Mom may be more meaningful in years to come. Choose a favorite picture of your mother from yesterday. Now choose a journaling angle. You might choose “Why I Love You, Mother” or “10 Words That Describe My Mother” or “My Mother’s Favorite Things.”
2. Choose a picture from Mother’s Day and have everyone present write a note to your mom on the page.
3. Create a generations page. Did you catch a picture of your mother, your grandmother, your daughter and you?
4. A mother and daughter page can highlight similarities and differences. Put a photo of you and your mother on a page and write about how alike you are or how different you both are.
5. Design a page showing your mother over the years and how she has changed. This is especially interesting if your mother is now a grandmother. Put pictures from past years showing the changes in your mother’s fashion choices, hair styles, and decorating.
6. Don’t forget grandmothers. Remember to create a page celebrating your grandma too.
If you have ideas for Mother’s Day pages, I’d love to hear them.
